iTunes and iPod

I downloaded a few songs last week from iTunes and synced my iPod. All of the songs play in iTunes, but one of them doesn't play on my iPod. I reset my iPod, and deleted prefs, rebuilt my list, blah, blah, blah, but it still doesn't want to play. Also, on the email confirmation i report a problem with the download but haven't heard anything from Apple. Do they do anything about this? Or should I just write off the $.99?
