iTunes and laptop doesn't see iPhone6 anymore?

So when I use to plug my iPhone6 into my laptop via USB cable my computer would recognize new photos/videos and ask if I would like to upload them and also turn on my iTunes and sync up wth my phone. It no longer does that. It also asks if I would like to"Trust This Cmputer" now. I of course click ALLOW. I do have the newest version of iTunes and iPhone so what's up. I moved to Thailand last month but believe it was working since being here... I think. I've been searching online and have tried several things. Most of the advice is old though. Any thoughts?

Is this a Windows laptop? I had this happen when I updated my Windows laptop to Windows 10. The solution here worked for me.
