I assume that 10.9 comes with iTunes 11 pre-loaded within it.

If that is correct, does anyone know if it possible to revert to iTunes 10 after upgrading to the new Mavericks?

As far as I'm concerned iTunes 11 is not fit for purpose, so unless I can keep my iTunes 10 I will not be upgrading to Mavericks.

You may be able to hack iTunes 10 onto your system but I know of no way of installing it

Thanks for that Mike.

I do have the iTunes 10 .dmg file stored locally, and I know that it was a real hard job to downgrade back to 10 from 11 under Mountain Lion, (lots of Terminal work involved), but I succeeded in the end, and I would persevere under 10.9 if it were possible.

My fear, though, is that iTunes 10 might be completely incompatible with Mavericks. In which case I'd be up a gumtree...
