Well, I'm not entirely sure which is the appropriate forum for my query but iTunes disabled my DVD drive.
I have a LiteON iHAS-something drive and apparently, it doesn't bode well with iTunes. The drive works and it is recognised by the BIOS but when I boot into Windows 8, the drive is not recognised by the system and in Device Manager, there's a caution flag on its icon indicating a registry fault.
Uninstalling iTunes resolves the issue but I like iTunes because it organises my library well and I do sync my iPad with it.
Should I post this in th Mac Apps forum? But my problem is with iTunes on Windows but not on a Mac but a desktop running Windows.
