I recently switched from PC to Mac and absolutely love my MBP. I've had no problems at all, EXCEPT for that damn spinning color wheel occasionally showing up. It seems that every now and then when I'm in iTunes (usually when I'm typing in track names or scrolling through albums in Flow View), out of nowhere, that spinning color wheel will start and essentially freeze up my computer. I can't close from the menu bar, I can't get force quit to work, nothing. I end up having to push the power button to turn it off. Any ideas why this would be happening in iTunes?

Is your library on an external drive? Very odd problem o have. I have experienced the odd slowdown when adding art work to videos but never a spinning wheel. Will watch this thread with interest.

Do you have the mini store turned on. I managed to get a spinning wheel/watch just by swtching between libraries and itunes store. But only for a second or two.
