As someone who has lots of live music, the gap between tracks of mp3s and aac files used to annoy me but the way to fix that in iTunes was turn on cross fade as 0 seconds. Then with the latest release of iTunes, you don't need that. In fact, turning that on, makes the situation worse. It now seems to correct itself.
My question is, has this been fixed with the 5G iPods too? Can you now listen to a live recording and not hear the gap in between each track.
