It has been a long time since I set up my iTunes folder, but I am transferring all of my iTunes media to my Mac Mini Server and I noticed that iTunes now has its own folder and is not a Music subfolder.

Currently, I allow iTunes to organize my files, so I am wondering how others are using the Music folder if it is no longer the location for iTunes media.

Would it be better for me to organize the library myself and just have iTunes point to the files/folders (Music, Movies) rather than allow iTunes to organize all of the files?

I appreciate your thoughts.

Same here, I disable music org and put my music in the music subfolder. Haven't solved this and don't understand why my library behaves from others.
