I don't know what happened but since i synced my iPhone last time and it put the latest versions of the applications in my iTunes archive as well it's telling me that there are updates available but the updates are actually older versions than what's installed.
Same on the iPhone. It's telling me i have 5 updates and those updates are older versions than what's installed!
