I was looking for an application that pulls from an online website or database that assigns the year the song was made to the song. That way I can easily make an 80's smart playlist. So an app kinda like fetchArt but for the year.

-thank you

not sure, where can i find that?

Goddamn.

When you insert a cd and if itunes is running then gracenote automatically pulls out the album information. Everything from album name, artist, year and composer. You just need to have internet connection on.

no need to get all mad, and gracenote does not obtain the year for you if the song is added from a source other than a cd. At least most of the songs on my itunes do not have the year, that are not added from a cd, so......
