iTunes Artwork screen saver not working.solutions? =(

so i got my mbp before 3 weeks or something..since then i only could use the itunes artwork screensaver only once!!
everytime i try to just ''click'' on the ''iTunes artworks'' to preview..system preferences stop and i get an error message...hell i never could solve it =\..
Any solutions?i really loved that screensaver and not looking to get ashamed when pc fans use my computer and get errors O_O!

did you try repairing permissions? (applications > utilities > disk utility > repair disk permissions.)

it's a good first step to try.

right, ok so the system prefs crashed.

try throwing out the plist for screensaver.

your home folder > library > preferences > ByHost > screensaver

(will be labed com.screensaver something)

hopefully you won't need to reset more than just the screensaver preferences.

I've heard the newest version of iTunes has done this to a few people using the artwork screensavers, so something is a bit off there but hopefully this keeps it sorted out. at least you know what to do if it claps out again.

its just like most of the members are males so i thought you were lol,you should write a note in your signature hehe
anyway think it was a very helpful hint..so whatever wrong goes in system preferences its very easy to fit!

BTW, this trick works in OS X Lion too. Initially, the iTunes screensaver doesn't work...or didn't on mine.

going to revive this old thread. i can't get my itunes screen saver to work either and i can't even find the screen saver plist. i go exactly where it is supposed to be and it isn't there. thoughts?
