iTunes artwork will not "attach' to song

Most of my songs have artwork and its fine, but a few songs dont. No matter what I do it wont "attach" to the song. I either select the song and drag it, or go to info and browse for it. Nothing happens! It just stays blank. And whats wierd is it only happens to a few songs. Any suggestions would be great.

PS: The music is not from iTMS
PSS: The music is not ripped from a CD

Did you try updating the ID3 tag info?
Is the music file DRMed?

oy, I don't know much about this. I do know that it's NOT DRM'ed.

But about updating ID3 Tag and a locked file? I don't know what that is or what to do.

Select a song from your Library. Go to Advanced in the menu, and select Convert ID3 Tags...

To unlock your song, first Control-Click the song in the Library, choose Show Song File. A finder window will open with the song selected, get info, and check to make sure the file is not locked.

Thank You so much! I went to the song file properties and changed it to read and write and now it all works fine.
