iTunes asks for Apple ID login on every startup

Helping a friend here.

He's just updated iTunes on his Mac, and now whenever he launches it it asks for his iTMS Apple ID login/password.

The rest of iTunes works without a hitch, and he can log into the store as usual.

But the login request at every launch is driving him nuts. It certainly doesn't do it on my iTunes!

Any idea which settings have gone wrong?

Close iTunes if its running.

Go into the iTune Music folder, There will be a folder called 'Downloads' inside it, check inside this folder, there will probably be a .plist file in there, delete it.

On re-starting itunes it should no longer ask for your login.

I raised a bug report with Apple as it doesn't seem to be getting removed correctly in some circumstances.
