iTunes backup

I want to back up iTunes. I found Music/iTunes/iTunes Library.

I have a large external drive. If I save the iTunes Library, is that it or do I need to save more??

Playcount and playlist informations are stored inside that file. Artwork has its own folder and the music is inside Music/iTunes/iTunes Music.

I recommend just copying the whole iTunes folder, if you have to restore it just replace the default iTunes folder with the backed up one and everything will be like it was (assuming you have all your files in the itunes folder)

I agree, that way you will be guaranteed to have everything.
