I have been trying to use my new ipad 3 to download the Google Voice app at

--itunes.apple.com/us/app/google-voice/id318698524?mt=8-- and it seems that iTunes will not recognize the app in their search. I can view and save in itunes with my PC, but not with the ipad.

Is there any way I can download this app and store in safe place to access with the ipad and install? Also curious about where is music stored. I can load mp3's on my pc and imatch and/or icloud them so they are seen and playable on the ipad, but as soon as I turn my pc off, the tunes disappear from the ipad.

What's with that. Just call me frustrated.

Not sure about Google Voice. I can pull it up on my iPhone so you may try downloading and syncing with iTunes.

iTunes Match is a paying service, while iCloud is not. If you have paid for iTunes Match, your entire iTunes library of music will always be available on your iPad/iPhone/iPod Touch (running iOS 5 or newer).

It sounds to me that you are using Home Sharing on your iPad and not iTunes Match.

It was a lot cheaper for me to keep my 10k iTunes in google music and use the gmusic app in the app store. I did however syncs everything for local use also thru iTunes but I usually end up using the gmusic app. Seems to work better.
