has anyone noticed a change in the way iTunes refills playlists that are autoupdating?

I have a smart playlist on my machine that lists song that haven't been played in the last two weeks (among other traits). The playlist displays twenty-five tracks at a time and is auto updating. So when I start playing it, as a song finishes playing a new one gets added to the bottom of the list. So the list will theoretically play forever until it runs out of songs that haven't been played in the last 2 weeks. I can hit skip to go down to the next track if for some reason I don't want to hear what's playing, and since the list is 25 tracks long I can do this 25 times without refreshing the entire list.

Anyway, since iTunes 5 I've noticed a change in the way iTunes refreshes the list. If I'm playing a song in the top half of the list, the new songs are added to the bottom of the list. But if I'm playing a song in the lower end of the list the new tracks get added to the top. The problem is this breaks all my playlists that use this feature, as if the songs refresh from the top iTunes wont play them (being allready below them on the playlist) and it soon hits the end of the playlist, which is only did before iTunes 5 if I was playing the last track of the playlist.
