I have compiled 8 tracks in hope to put them on a CD. After a long wait the CD was supposebly done, but when I tried to play it in my CD player it did not work. could this be caused by iTunes asking me to calibrate the CD? or is it because 5 were in mp3 fromat and 3 were in mpeg-4? any help would be great.

Are you sure it wasn't a DVD (just asking no insult meant, as I have accidentally burnt music to a DVD then asked why it didn't play)?

actually i started with a DVD but it was cautioned that music can't be burned to a DVD so yes, I am using a CD-RW

Burn the music again. The most likely possibility is that there was an error during the burn that the system didn't realize.
