Hi Since 10.5 was installed iTunes keeps losing parts of my music library. Everytime I go into iTunes it indicates with exclamation marks that music is missing. Invariably I have to go through my library, find the music, click on it and then iTunes «finds» it. I keep my library on an external hard drive to keep my internal hard drive freer.

Secondly, I change macs fairly often and got an new iMac. iTunes told me when I was copying my files onto my new mac, that this was the last time I could copy iTunes. What gives here? If I own the music I am not allowed to copy it into my own computer?

if you downloaded the music from itunes store you can only have the music on up to 5 macs at a time. you need to deauthorize your old computers. you can get around this though by making an audio cd from your downloads and then importing them to itunes
