iTunes can't find newly downloaded podcasts

I've been having this problem for a while now with some of the video podcasts I download. The situation is that they download fine into iTunes, however when I quit and restart iTunes cannot find the file and displays an exclamation point. On further inspection the file is originally downloaded to a temporary folder which then dissappears when iTunes is relaunched.

Any help would be much appreciated,

If you open a new user account in System Preferences, do you have the same problem in that version of iTunes? Also, before quitting iTunes but after downloading a video podcast, select it and press COMMAND-R to hopefully see where it's located.
