iTunes Card for Apple Merchandise

Good Evening, I just finished a search for the answer to my question in these forums with no luck. Does anyone know if one can use his/her iTunes Gift Card for apple or ipod hardware, such as an iPod shuffle. I received many of these for Christmas. I noticed they usually have links for ipods and such on the ITMS site, but I didn't know if you could use the iTunes cards for these.

I don't think so, as I was going to buy 5 (Product) RED gift cards and ended up just buying a $100 hardware card because the guy at the Apple Store said the (Product) RED cards were iTunes Store only.

You might call up an Apple Store near you and ask though, maybe ask the manager as they may have more knowledge and authority to accept them.

Nope, iTunes Store cards are valid only for purchases from the iTunes Store - they cannot be applied to Apple hardware/software.
