Ever since I added some more music to my library, iTunes has encountered many problems.
I have about 25gb of music; less than 5000 songs, and in my opinion that shouldn't cause all this ..
It began stuttering, so I updated to iTunes 9.. and that didn't fix any issues, so I decided to downgrade to 8.2, and I'm still coming across the same problems.
I trashed all my preferences and turned off everything, and it's still stuttering at least 5 times per song. I've NEVER had this problem before.
I used to be able to run Garageband, LimeWire, Some fairly heavy games and iTunes at the same time (due to my severe ADD) and I would never get a single skip.

The stutters range from 1 second long, to 40 second stutters that cause the rainbow wheel and make everything freeze, causing me to have to force quit iTunes. It's driving me insane, I honestly feel like throwing this thing out the window. Any help is very appreciated.

Just for the record,
This is just one of the issues I've had lately, the others are equally irritating;
1. It refused to detect my second hard drive last week, however somehow managed to miraculously repair itself.
2. Has slowed down terribly, despite the 60gb of free space that I managed to free up.
3. Has started to freeze to the point that I need to manually reset the thing. (Hasn't ever happened before recently)
