iTunes CD Import speed

I normally get between 20x and 25x import speeds and have recently imported quite a lot of cd's in lossless ALAC.

I'm finishing off today but every CD i've done so far has been between 5x and 7x and it's mind numbingly slow.

I've checked and cd correction isn't switched on. Nothing else has changed and i even tried rebooting.


Any ideas what it could be?
