Alright, first post :D here goes.
When I imported a CD to iTunes, it gave me the option of importing a Deluxe edition or a standard edition. Not knowing what on EARTH a deluxe edition was (but thinking it did sound shiny), i chose to import the Deluxe edition. To my grief, it turned out that the deluxe edition had live tracks, as opposed to studio tracks. Essentially, what i'm asking for is help in importing the standard edition now, after originally importing it.

I've never come across a "deluxe" edition option, but it sounds like you're not dealing with the iTunes import settings, but rather something from the disc. If you don't like the "deluxe" edition, simply highlight all of those tracks in your iTunes library, delete them—click the button to move the source files to trash as well—then put the CD back in and select "standard" edition. Done.
