I was copying my iTunes library on my Dell to my new macbook last night and I noticed that a lot of the CDs that I imported from at one time only have a few and sometimes even just one of the tracks on the hard drive.

I never really double checked, but it seems like all the tracks were that after importing. I know a couple of CDs that I ripped that I listen to often, I had them all in the iTunes library and they were also loaded to my iPod so they must have been there at some point right?

Is this just a case of a crappy drive/computer ripping the CDs or is there some wild "feature" in iTunes that won't take all the tracks or will delete them at a later date?

At any rate, I've got to go back and import a bunch of CDs again. Will I run into any problems duplicating the tracks? I don't want to have duplicate entries in my library all over the place.
