I added some fles to my iTunes from my USB stick and changed the media kind to podcast. The moved from my itunes library but when I looked under poscasts they were not there despite still showing in the smar tplaylists and playing okay. Can anyone explain why this might be happening?

I then located the original files in the iTunes music folder in finder and moved them to the trash and emptied it. This seemed to work and they are no longer appeared in my music libray on itunes but they still appear in my smart playlists despite not being able to locate the original file. As it is a smart playlist I cannot delete them from it manually as with normal playlists. Has anyone got any suggestions on how to remove them? If i turn off Live Updating i can delete then but I want to keep this turned on but it just adds the names of the songs with the little exclamation mark beside it. I have deleted the smartlist and re-done it but they are still showing.

Thanks

Matt
