iTunes connect to remote library

Hi,

I have a Macmini as e mediaserver, where my music, photos and videos are stored. From my MacBook Pro i want to connect to for the iTunes library on the mac mini. Just like iPhoto stuff. So my question is, is it possible to use local iTunes and iPhoto with the resources on the mac mini?
