I had all my movie files formatted for iTunes (.m4v), but they were in a folder NOT managed by iTunes. None of them were in subfolders.

I decided to let iTunes manage my media, so chose File > Library > Consolidate. It seems to have randomly put some movie files into a folder with the movie name as the name of the folder, yet other movies it's left as-is in the top level folder.

Any ideas why the inconsistent behaviour?
