Im having issue with my ios 5 beta 7 saying "itunes could not check for an update to the carrier settings for your iphone" and it will pop up after I restored my iphone 4. I cannot get my cellular data working and now I have to use Wifi to connect to internet.

Anyone having the same problem?

You're probably going to have to upgrade the baseband, this will probably kill the unlock (unless it was bought unlocked)

OR it's already updated the baseband and you're stuck with it.

He could be factory unlocked.

I am on factory unlocked. Never jailbroken this device. I tried uninstalling itunes completely then re-install it and same thing happens. Don't know what went wrong.

Then unless you're a developer your best bet is to drop back to iOS 4.3.5
If the problem persists just take it into an Apple store and they'll exchange it for another unlocked iPhone 4.

I'm a developer on iOS5 beta 7 AT&T iPhone 4, never jailbroken or unlocked and I'm getting this error as well.

i am having same problem on latest beta. i am not able to enter tmobile edge settings too.
