I'm still running Snow Leopard, but my iTunes is up to date. When I put an audio CD in, I can play what ever track I want just fine. However, when I select a different track, or press forward, iTunes will crash. I've tried numerous CDs and I'm getting the same problem each time.

Anyone have any ideas what's going on?

Could be the third party RAM you installed. Can you reinstall the original RAM and see if the problem stops?

Or try XLD, rip the CD to see if it's a problem with iTunes.

I just popped in the original RAM my Macbook Pro came with, and it still crashes. I even restarted it and only had iTunes running, with the orignal RAM and it's still crashing.

iTunes seems to rip CDs just fine, but it can't play them.

Update: It turns out it was a plug-in that was causing the problem. I reinstalled the plug-in (last.fm) and everything is working fine.

I feel kind of silly now, swapping the RAM and trying all these different tests when the problem was much, much simplier than I thought.
