I recntly bought a MBP (prev gen) and and iPod Classic 120. My son put his music in a drop box and I copied it to a file on my desktop. I then started putting it into iTunes to put on my iPod. iTtunes kept crashing, at first every 10 albums or so, and then more and more frequently. It took a couple of days to copy everything.
Then I connected the iPod and it started doing an automatic sync. Again, iTunes kept crashing. When I tried to do a manual copy, it seemed to work, but when I chaecked the iPod, t here was nothing there. This is, needless to say, very frustrating. I called Apple, and they had me do a repair permissions, but that did not do anything to help. I also reloaded and reinstalled both iTunes 8.0.2 and the latest iPod software.
I have Genius Bar appointments for both on Wed. but I was wondering if anyone here has some suggestions. Thanks.
