Okay, I haven't downloaded anything for a long time, and I have $17+ from a gift card on my account. Today I got an email from Apple reminding me to use my credit & stuff, and asking if my accound was taken over or if I'd lost my password. It didn't say anything about expiring or anything, but, yeah. It doesn't, right? :D

To my knowledge it does not (I had $3.85 on there for 18 months). I think the e-mail is just to remind you that you have credit in case you don't visit the store very often or forgot.

In some states credit DOES expire. Not in all. For example, if you live California then it never expires. But in some other states it can either expire 2 years after it was originally purchased or two years after the last use.
