Hello All,

Here's a question regarding a cover art anomaly:

I'm running iTunes 9.0.3 and have successfully converted a number of Blu-ray movies to 720p for the AppleTV. Having discovered that MetaX was breaking my movie files, I started using Subler with excellent results.

I'm creating custom cover art for all of my movies and saving those files as .PNG with transparency. When I import into iTunes, the movie is displayed in cover flow with transparency. Close iTunes are reload it, however, and most of the cover art is no longer transparent. Here's the trick: I've noticed that the movies I purchased from iTunes are successfully retaining transparent cover art even after closing and opening iTunes repeatedly.

Again...Purchased movies with custom cover art continue to display the PNG with transparency while ripped movies with custom cover art stop displaying with transparency following an iTunes "reboot."

To be clear, in both situations the cover art is exactly the same with regard to file format, size, etc. I use the same Photoshop template for all of them.

Any ideas?

Thanks!

Nathan
