iTunes disabling various options. HELP

My version of iTunes (the latest SN) 10.5.1 won't let me get info (command+I), or bring up command+J View Options.

I have a music file selected in the Music Library but I just get greyed/grayed out - see the screenshot of that menu.

Anyone else, solved, seen this problem?
