I got my dad's used Macbook Air, and was planning to make it the base for my iPod Touch 4G (jailbroken). However, once I plugged my iPod, it was charging but does not appear in iTunes 10.1.2, but it is detected with iPhoto. Help! :( I cannot backup my files/apps, and sync my music and videos...

Help is much appreciated!

I would suggest you get rid of the jailbreak with your old computer, and then try syncing. Next best option is DFU mode, but you would lose everything.

The problem is I already sold off my old Mac... :O Is there a way I can just start from scratch (i.e. restore) using my new model? I don't mind losing my files since I have them backed up.
