So I've had a few of my iPhones unlocked and to do that one must usually restore the iPhone through iTunes. I noticed that lately, with my Windows laptop and now even with my Macbook Pro iTunes has been downloading the firmware for the phone every single time. Doesn't it usually keep the file on my computer and just extract it when it needs it? Any idea how to fix this and keep the restore files on my computer?

You are sure that is not just the iOS 5.1.1 being restored, if you had iOS 5.1 earlier?

Have you been moving folders around on your computers?

Yeah cause I've had to do a couple of restores for trouble shooting on 2 of my iphones.

And haven't really been moving folders around at all from what I've noticed.
