I can't locate any of the songs that have the exclamation mark.

When I choose get info and follow the path in finder I can't locate the last folder.

Any help would be great also feel free to place this thread elsewhere.

The exclamation mark indicates that the music file isn't located in the path indicated when you "Get Info". You don't see the folder there because it has been moved or deleted. You need to search with Finder to locate where you moved your music, then either put it back in the original location or re-add it to iTunes.

The folder with the music is not available when searching the finder. I'll have a look in my backups when I get home.
