iTunes external hard drive issue

Hello all,

Just bought a mac mini and its great. I previously had my itunes library running off an external hd on my PC and i would like to do that again on my mac. I set up my external hd to be read by the mac and that now works. However, I cant get itunes to reconize my itunes library on my external hd. I change the lication to where everything is licated but it wont work.

Any tips?
