I just bought my Macbook Pro and will be unboxing it as soon as I get home later today. And I have been using iTunes since I bought my iPod years ago. And I was wondering, I am sure it is preference, but is it better to run your iPod through iTunes on OS X or on Windows?

I'd use it on whichever you use the most. I have XP on my MBP, but I'm only in there to play the occasional game so I'm in OS X 95% of the time.

Me too... unless one of the following applied, iTunes integrates very smoothly with OS X.

1) If you use lots of WMA (since there's native WMA import in the Windows version)

2) If you manage some device other than an iPod that mounts in Windows but not OS X for some odd reason

3) If you have to use other Windows sound software.

4) If you plan to almost constantly run Windows

Otherwise, OS X is the gimme.

I figure I would be doing the same thing only thing is that I did not feel like formating my iPod from Windows over to MAC. But I guess it only takes a few hour at most.
