iTunes freezes when plug iPhone 4 into MBP

Hey guys -

I'm trying to upgrade my iPhone 4 to iOS5 but cannot because iTunes freezes when I plug the phone into the computer. Everything on my MPB (including iTunes) is up to date.

Any idea what's going on here? Very frustrating!
