iPad iTunes freezes when updating apps in IOS 8.0

After updating iPad 2 to IOS 8.0, (restore required) when I try to sync the iPad to my iTunes account it freezes iTunes during the App syncing.

What should I do?

After updating iPad 2 to IOS 8.0, (restore required) when I try to sync the iPad to my iTunes account it freezes iTunes during the App syncing.

What should I do?

I experience the same thing with an iPad Air. It crashed with I updated from 8.00 to 8.02. Now it takes ages to restore the apps since I have restart iTunes every second minute
