iTunes freezes when working with podcasts on MBP.

I have a week old 13 inch MBP and when ever I go to the podcasts section in itunes it gives me a beach ball and freezes up for about 7 minutes. This is an annoying issue and it even does it when the other apps are close. Anybody else have this issue?

It happened to me a couple of weeks ago after installing an iTunes update. It only happened in the section with unseen podcasts, and it went away by itself after about 5 minutes and a couple of relaunches of iTunes. It seemed quite random.

For how long have you had this problem?

Since I installed the new itunes update. I'm quitte sure thatt's the problem.

- That tells me nothing. Could be 2 days ago, could be a week ago. But it's not important.
All I can tell you is that I had the problem as well, but that it went away by itself after a couple of minutes.

If you have been experiencing this for a long time perhaps you should remove iTunes and install it again.
