I've had this repetitive issue with iTunes Genius, where the song I selected to start the genius from will generate an error:
For instance, this always shows up for Michael Bublé, regardless of the track selected.
Some suggested fixes that I have read after extensive searching that are either wrong or did not help:
The song must be in the iTunes Store: Wrong. The Beatles are not in the store, and Genius works fine for them. Plus, Bublé is in the store.
Check your tags: Did. Trust me. I'm OCD when it comes to my library. It matches the iTunes store.
Update Genius? First thing I tried, as the message told me to.
Rebuild genius library. Tried, no dice.
Rebuild entire library. Tried, again, no dice.
Though I just updated to 9.2, this issue occurred before then.
Any thoughts? Anyone with Michael Bublé (or a particular artist) never working? It's not a big gripe, just an annoyance. Thanks.
Genius is unavailable for the song "[song]"
Choosing Update Genius from the Store menu will update your Genius results. If, after updating, iTunes is still unable to identify this track, please choose another song or artist.
