Per a fellow macrumors brethern, I tried buying an iTunes gift card and setting up an account in another country so I could purchase a couple of videos not offered in the states.
Not a player. The country iTunes store didn't recognize the code from my US card. So then I tried setting up a new account with a credit card, not a player.
Didn't get the right options to put in my billing info.
Disappointing and frustrating.

The iTunes voucher needs to be from the same country as the store you wish to purchase from. E.g. you need a UK iTunes voucher to buy from the UK iTunes store.

You can generally get them on ebay (although look for sellers that have sold similar items previously).
