iTunes greys out iPhone videos.

I'm trying to get some videos on my phone. They are in .mp4 format. I drag into iTunes and it puts them into home videos. After plugging in my phone, checking the videos, and clicking apply and sync, it says its syncing. After I unplug my phone, nothing is in the videos app. I plugged it back in, went into the video tab of my phone and saw the videos all there, but greyed out. I'm on iTunes 12.0.1 if that's relevant. All help would be greatly appreciated! Thanks!
