iTunes grouping after update

I'm having an issue where itunes is automatically grouping all of my "Greatest Hits" albums once I updated my software. Was wondering if anyone else was experiencing something similar, and if there is an easy way to correct this.

You might be sorting your library by Album name, which would produce this. Try changing your sort option to Artist, Artist by Album, or Artist by Year.

I'm sorting by artist. I filled in all of the album artist fields and this corrected the problem on my macbook, however it still occurs on my iPhone only in cover view oddly enough. Previously it was grouping them as if they were a compilation.
