Is there anyway to have iTunes export songs to an iPhone at a different bitrate than what is in the library? Duplicating songs in the library with the convert feature is not something I really want to do. As I need double songs like I need a hole in the head.

I have done this on numerous occasions with Windows Media Player and nonApple products, but I cannot find the tab to do this in iTunes. Any help would be apreciated.

AFAIK, the feature has been in iTunes for a long time, but it has always been locked to the iPod shuffle. It has not been made available for any other device, and it doesn't particularly appear that Apple intends to change this anytime soon. Sorry.

Thanks for the quick response. :) That's what I was afraid of. :( Very frustrating!

My 30 days is not up yet and this may not be the smartphone for me.
