I keep my iTunes library file on my PowerBook, but the actual music and video is stored on an external hard drive, plugged into an AEBS. This works great while I am in my house, but it not so useful while on the road.

My music library is around 20gigs - which would easily fit on my laptop's HD - but my video library is aroung 60gigs, and growing fast.

Is there any way I can tell iTunes to put all video files in the library on the hard disc, and all audio files on my laptop? Perhaps an AppleScript that will do this? I've looked on Doug's AppleScripts but can't seem to find any.

Any help would be really great.

Thanks!

Since Movies are stores in the Movies folder in your iTunes music folder, what about replacing this folder on your Powerbook with a shortcut to your Movie's folder on your External drive? Not sure that it would work, but it is worth a try.
