I plugged in my ipod this morning to charge and upload new podcasts. I plug it in and it starts charging but iTunes never opens up. So I tried to open it and there is a question mark over the icon. Any ideas on what happened? It does not appear to be on my hard drive any more. The only thing I have added lately is updated my OSX (10.5.4).

Thanks

Are you saying that the iTunes App is no longer in the /Applications folder, or you are just missing the icon from your Dock?

If it is just the Dock icon, you can fix that by just dragging the iTunes app to the dock and removing the icon with the Question Mark.

It is no longer in my applications. I have no idea why.... it was there the last time I looked.

Hopefully you still have your iTunes Library and files.

You can download iTunes from Apple's web site and re-install it. When you launch it the first time it will ask you to locate your library.

i had the same problem with Camino when i installed the 10.5.4 update. I just downloaded it again and it was all ok. This should work for iTunes too.

It worked... so weird! All is ok now.
Thanks all!!:D
