iTunes help!

All of a sudden, I've lost literally 2/3 of my music collection from iTunes.

All tracks are still listed in the library; all are still present on my iPod, but if I click on them in itunes, I get a message "The song X could not be used because the original file could not be found. Would you like to locate it?"

However, I can't locate it on my mac, but they've clearly been there, as they have at some point been synced to the iPod. I've tried everything on apple support, but just now they're closed.

Can anyone suggest anything?? PLEASE...

Take a look into the Trash, use Disk Inventory X or GrandPerspective or OmniDiskSweeper to find large folders or use Spotlight or use exPod to get the songs from your iPod back to your Mac ...
