iTunes home sharing 1 computer 2 user accounts

Is it possible to set up / use home sharing between different user accounts on the same mac? Home sharing sounds like a great solution when you have multiple macs in the same household, but what about a family with only one mac?

I would think this would a common scenario yet I can't find any details about it...

Do you use different log-in accounts on the Mac? If so then just in iTunes it is easy.

You would use a different process (not involving Home Sharing) in the slightest to share an iTunes library between users.

Yes, the setup is multiple user accounts/logins on the same mac.

That article link describes how to share music between the accounts -- would the same hold true for other purchases such as Apps, TV shows, and Movies?

Yes, as long as you copy the entire iTunes Music/Media folder.
