I currently have all of my music stored on my Windows Home Server. I have my main desktop computer pointed to the network share within iTunes and it works good. I turned on Home Sharing and then set it up on both of my laptops. I noticed that nothing shows up in the local Music//Movies//TV shows folder.

1.) Is it better for me just to point the laptops to the network share and not use Home Sharing. I do not see the advantage of this. Maybe I am wrong.

2.) Should I drag all my music to the local music folder on my laptop? Will this put the hundreds of gigabytes of music data on my local laptop?

3.) Any other suggestions.

Thank you
